This is basic program that any programmer will start with. Here we deal with various simple statements of PHP.
Getting Started. Open a new project and type the following code. (Note: I’m going to use NetBeans)

echo “Hello World”;
?>
Here <?php ………?> Specifies PHP code. What ever you want to do you need to write your PHP code in between
<?php…………..?>
Note: PHP code is invisible. After you open the code with your browser, try to view the source you your page. You will not see the code.
Echo is just like printf statement in C, cout statement in C++, print in PYTHON. We can call this as a bit advanced version of those as we are dealing with HTML. echo also allows features for entering HTML tags.
Now run the code by pressing Shift + F6 (Used to run current program file). You can see the page opening as http://localhost/myPHPProject/filename.php and you will see the message “Hello World”
